Welcome to Towne View Baptist Church
Below you will find information and links to help you get to know a little bit about us. If you have any questions, comments, or concerns please do not hesitate to contact us.
Who We Are
We're a family - men and women, senior adults and college students, black and white and brown, married and single, families of all shapes and sizes, life-long baptists and those who have never participated in the life of any church before. In other words, don't be surprised to find someone just like you!
What We Believe
Towne View's doctrinal statement is summarized in The Baptist Faith and Message (1963). Our vision statement below describes who we are and who we hope to be:
We are participating with God in creating a community of faith, hope, and love.
Click the Learn More link to see how we at Towne View live out that statement. If you are a church "nerd" or simply would like more information about how we "do" church you can access our church constitution and by-laws.
WHAT TO EXPECT
We believe God is still speaking and inspiring men and women to write and compose meaningful songs and arrangements, so we are intentionally blended in our worship. In one service, you may hear a hymn from the fourth century and a song you heard on the radio the week before, all after a middle school student reads Scripture and a senior adult blesses the offering.
You will find a casual, friendly environment- but we are serious about worship. Our services incorporate scripture, prayer, giving, praise, and sermon, fellowship, and response to draw us together as God's people and to lead us into a shared experience of worship. All that we offer to God in worship forms us for the lives we live as the people of God.
We would love to see you soon!
Each Sunday we gather for Bible Study at 9:45 a.m. with age-appropriate classes for children and youth and life-stage groups for adults. Coffee is ready at 9:30!
Worship begins at 11 a.m. Loving, experienced volunteers (all vetted by our Securing Our Church Kids background checks) are available to care for children three-years of age and younger. Four and five year-olds are invited to participate in worship through the children's message and then participate in activities designed just for them in our preschool area.
